Chapter 3

By Sue Parrish

April 15th

Today at 08:15 I used my “daily exercise allocation” to head towards “Maddy Woods” accompanied by my youngest daughter.

As I left our house, my son commented, “Mum you couldn’t get any brighter!” – as I was wearing yellow high viz.  The run started quite chilly and there was even frost on the hedgerows. Fantastic weather forecast so the earlier I got out the better.  Lots of birdsong and beautiful countryside.

Medal Monday

To beat the lockdown blues…. For a daily exercise our members are choosing to run a route local to their house in our club colours. When they get home we have asked them to take a selfie with their favourite medals…

Here is Sally Shepherd with some Marathon bling…

Wearing my Manchester and Loch Ness medals. Never thought I would actually complete Manchester but the support during training from fellow SRC members was fantastic and the Scottish trip proved to be a fabulous fun W/e

We may not be able to race but we can get out our bling!

April 10th

Hey Guys! It may be quarantine – out early – “Living the Dream” – missing you all! No one here just a Policewoman on Horseback – keeping “social distancing”. Inspired by  lovely Fenella. Great to be back on SRC stomping ground. Such a relief – using my “once a day” exercise allocation. Be safe everyone :two_hearts::woman-running::skin-tone-4::muscle:

We love this Sue… Keep up the good work

Chapter 1

By Sue Parrish

Today we start off way back at week one….

March 25th

Inspired by Kevin’s recent run I decided I needed “to get out there” :boom::muscle: as I really DO enjoy running, and a positive mindset is required – as currently (like you guys) we are housebound with family. OUR whole Monthly Agenda/Routine is on “hold”.

Here is my Medal Monday, Joyous social distancing (left) wearing my favourite technical T (Middle), showing my favourite bling, in my favourite house, in my favourite country village (Right)….

LH Trowbridge 5k “Colourific” 2017 Not a colour run, more turn up in something colourful.. My first ever race and points for the club. Wearing my super bright orange shorts that my fellow couchies will remember well, I seem to remember Helen wearing rainbow colour leggins too. Also in my LH 2 mile swim Last September in the Cotswolds. Those who have read my blog would know I had only ever ran a bath… Then, being a non swimmer and scared of the dark end of the pool, I found myself signing up for, and swimming two miles in a lake…. Truly epic. My right hand… Well it had to be HIM Weymouth, a glorious day and a fitting way to end some hard times in training. The smaller medal is the biggest of them all… My first ever Triathlon…. I only ever started running because I had a bad back, needed to lose weight and get fitter and wanted to make some friends…. Who would of known… Join our running club she said…Would I do it all again? Yes absolutely

We may not be able to race but we can get out our bling!
