Happy Solstice

We are imensely proud to be part of the village that gave Stonehenge to the people, and we want to keep giving in the same spirit of Cecil Chubb.

Whilst we might not have made it for the Solstice (Coronavirus) you still have the chance to join us for a “Run to the Stones” before the crowds come back

Not a member?… Come along for one of our (Socially distant) guest runs… Try us out.

These views won’t last forever!

All of our Henge routes are planned with government rules/guidelines in mind. We can currently offer guided runs for a maximum of 6 per group.

Welcome

Hello & welcome to Shrewton Running Club.

We are a beginner friendly Running club that believes heavily in support, motivation and inspiration.

We run Tuesdays and Wednesday nights & offer a longer Sunday run.

Our surrounding area gives us the option of trail and road, and allows us to cater for beginners right up to accomplished, experienced runners.

We would very much like to hear from you.

Lockdown Blog

Our member Sue Parrish has been treating us to her weekly experiences whilst under lock down…..

Chapter 6

By Sue Parrish

May 16th

Today was the day for a “Get it Done” Run at 9:35 am

I ran from “Lockdown” to gain some much needed head clearance and essential exercise for myself.

I headed into the village and around Maddington Church and up to Maddy Woods. It was hot, and I social distanced from some dog walkers – all uphill to the barn on hard, dry ground.

Return to running

After recent advice from England athletics we are now in a position to return to running.

We will be following Government, PHE and England athletics guidance for phase 2, of a restricted return.

  • A coach/run leader and up to 5 athletes or runners can train together provided they maintain social distancing i.e. 2m apart if from a different household

We understand you may have lost some fitness during the lock down period and are offering a variety of sessions to suit your needs.

Please contact us to organise a guided session from one of our Run Leaders.
